The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is highly sought after and recognised as the must-have qualification for those who are looking to develop a career in information security, audit and IT governance management. Held by over 30,000 qualified professionals worldwide, a CISSP qualification demonstrates proven experience and is the key to a higher earning potential in roles that include CISO, CSO and senior security manager.
Between 1st April and 10th June 2016, the CIISF will be offering a course of lunchtime byte size training sessions covering the eight CISSP domains and a mock exam for £80. Three candidates passed with CIISF training last year and this year's sessions will be held at the Digital Jersey Hub and Guernsey's Digital Greenhouse (via remote link) between 1230pm and 2pm on the following dates:

In addition, the course will cover the intermediate certification in this training – ‘Systems Security Certified Practitioner’ (SSCP) certification. This covers seven domains which map directly to the eight modules of the CISSP course as 'the compendium of topics pertaining to an Information Systems Security Practitioner'. The SSCP is aimed at security go-to-people, on the front line of a business dealing with technologies employed to protect Information. If you are responsible for implementing and maintaining countermeasures such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection or Prevention, Anti-Virus solutions or Public Key Infrastructures and you want a certification to attest to your skills and professionalism within Information Security, this is it.
Please note that places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. If you would like to participate please contact Aimee Maskell at firstname.lastname@example.org by 25th March 2016.
